Loyal dog keeps watch over owner's bedside in hospital, unaware he's dead

Whenever a loved one dies, we mourn for a long time. However, pets who have long been their most loyal companions may never understand when this happens. I saw a dog obediently and patiently waiting for its owner, sitting by the single bed for a long time, but I did not know that the owner would never return.

One photo showed Moose, a three-year-old Labrador mix from New Jersey, waiting by his owner's single bed. Unaware that its owner had passed away, the poor dog was left alone at home. However, someone took his photo ad and posted it online, hoping to find a replacement family for Moose who would love and take care of him, a replacement home.

Moose waited a long time by her master's single bed.

NorthStar Pet Rescue decided to share a photo of a moose after it was brought to the rescue team in Randolph, NJ at the last minute. They also shared some information about Moose online in the hope that a family would adopt the poor dog as well.

"Please help Moose find another home and a family she loves. He is a naturally sweet and happy boy. He just needs people to help heal his heart," they wrote. “He can be a 3-year-old lab mix who is out of the house, loves kids, and can get along with dogs (neuter to them) but not for a house with cats or birds. But man, boy, he loves them So much so that Moose can do his best in a house where he doesn't leave the house alone all day long, and he misses his people so much."

Hundreds of people have expressed interest in adopting Moose.

As expected, the post immediately went viral and they received a lot of attention from people who wanted to adopt Moose. Moose found her permanent home just days after the photo was shared online.

"MOOSE was adopted by a wonderful family who will take care of him and love him for the rest of his life! Thanks again to everyone who shared his story!" wrote NorthStar Pet Rescue.

The moose may have found a loving family to adopt and provide him with an alternate home, but there are still plenty of equally loyal dogs at the shelter who also need a loving home. If you're thinking of adopting a pet, be sure to check out your local shelter.
